Resting along the shores of the beautiful Charlotte Harbor sits the state of the art 44,000 sq ft Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center. Built in 2009 the facility features panoramic views of the harbor from the 20,000 sq ft divisible main hall, great lawn, and terrace in addition to 4 high tech meeting rooms all with free wireless internet and free parking. The halfway point between Tampa and Ft. Myers, downtown Punta Gorda offers over 350 hotel rooms adjacent from the Center, small town charm and flavor among the mom & pop restaurants and shops.
The Event Center often plays host to many expos (For example: Home Show, Antique Show, Hurricane Expo, Quilt Show), galas (Boys and Girls Club's BaseBALL with the Tampy Bay Rays, Care Ball, Mistletoe Ball, Fred Lang Summer Ball) which are all community favorites. In addition we also have many conventions (Sew Worth It, Episcopal Convention, Letter Carries) concerts, and many corporate meetings.
What many don't realize is yes the Event Center might seem very large from the outside but it is also a very popular wedding venue. Ceremonies are done outside along the waters edge followed by receptions for as little as 25 of your closest friends and family to as many as 1200.
